We went to Monterey for the day yesterday.  Before coming home, we bought some fresh fish and a couple of area artichokes to have for our dinner.

Well, I certainly didn't take this picture today... I didn't take it at all, but thought it appropriate to post.  This picture is 35 years old today.  Happy Anniversary to us!

29/365

Today I took maternity pictures of a very beautiful 'momma-to-be'.  I am always uncomfortable taking pictures of people I don't know, but Kristi was warm and friendly and I think we had fun.   I can't wait to meet her sweet baby boy.

28/365

I missed a few days again!  This project is harder than I thought it would be.

I love these vintage looking roses, and I'm so glad I bought them for myself.  They were fun to photograph and I got to enjoy them in my house.  I'll have to splurge for fresh flowers more often.

25/365

Ok, I didn't actually take this picture today, I took it on Saturday but I am editing them today.  So, it's kinda cheating on the 365 project, but not really???

24/365

Nothing says spring like flowers.  So, even though it's foggy, cold and dreary outside, these camellias help brighten the day.

23/365

I admire people who can go about their daily activities even though it is cold, foggy and miserable outside.  I find it hard just to get out of bed.

22/365

Today was the third photo session with my beautiful, pregnant niece, Nicole.  Only two more sessions to go before I'll be posting a picture of her beautiful baby girl.

21/365

I don't usually take food pictures, but this dinner was so delicious I couldn't resist posting a picture of it.  The recipe is Grilled Cod with White Bean Relish and Cherry Tomato Vinaigrette from Bobby Flay's Grill It! cookbook.   My husband is a fantastic cook!

20/365

Our Librarian brought this camellia today for her desk.  Our staff gave her the plant when her father died, and she said it blooms every year on the anniversary of his death.  It's a beautiful white flower.  I asked if I could take it home with me to photograph.

19/365

I missed two days and decided not to quit just because of that.  Maybe one of these days I will post two pictures to make up for it!

Walking through my school I noticed these three girls reading.  Well... what I really noticed were their shoes.  So I couldn't resist taking a picture.

My school staff gave me these flowers yesterday in appreciation for taking the play photographs and editing and copying them to sell for a fundraiser.  What better way to keep flowers fresh than to photograph them!

15/365

Almost 30 years ago when we purchased our first home, I wasn't happy that the previous owners left a half wine barrel on the side of the house with a dead plant in it.  We didn't have a truck then to haul it to the dump, so we left it through the winter.  In the spring I notice the 'dead' plant wasn't dead.  We transplanted it into a pot, and it became this beautiful miniature orange tree.  We have made two moves since then, and it has carefully come with us.  Every year we get several delicious oranges from it, and it looks beautiful in our patio.  This bowl is from a yard sale.

14/365

I took rehearsal pictures of my school's play, King Arthur's Quest.   It's going to be a great play!

Happy Birthday!  We celebrated a big birthday for someone special at work today.  Instead of the usual black we wore pink and decorated in bright and sparkly... much more fun!

My Red Vintage Couch.  I use this couch for photo shoots.  My school is going to use it for 'Premier Seating' at our school play, "King Arthur's Quest" on Saturday.

Earrings for Jane's birthday.  These were made by a good friend who now has her own jewelry line called Jewelry Designs by Avva'.  She sells these beautiful pieces of art at Fleur de Lis in Modesto.

Boot Camp.  Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I have nightmares about these boots and fatigues!  Sit ups, push ups, planks... these are times I'm eye level with these black boots... and a voice above the boots is always saying "Come on Lady.  Don't stop."  Boot Camp.  Ugh.

9/365

Time to say goodbye to this wonderful Tahoe cabin.  It was comfortable and cozy... perfect for our vacation in the snow.  The best part of these last four days was spending time with my family. Good memories.

8/365

Something new for all of us today... snowmobiling.  We took a two-hour Tahoe snowmobiling tour.  Once I got over my fear, I was able to enjoy the ride and take in the incredible scenery.  It was a blast!

7/365

Great day for us all to ski Northstar.

6/365

Today Bryan and Shawna were able to join us at the Lake Tahoe cabin.

In and out ... in and out ... in and out...   I should keep a notepad by the door to keep track of how many times a day I open it to let Lucy or Katie in or out.  (This is Lucy.)

2/365

It's a rainy Sunday. . . a good day for Dave to make clam chowder and spaghetti sauce for our Tahoe trip later this week.  I didn't notice my reflection in the pot when I took this picture.  Although I like it, it's a good lesson for me to pay closer attention to what's in my camera's view finder.

Happy New Year!  We drove to Half Moon Bay today for lunch.  I took about 250 pictures, so picking just one for my 365 day project was my first challenge!  I picked this one because we bought crab from this fisherman to bring home and have for our New Year's Day dinner.
