I needed a baby fix today, so I went to see Natalie.  She is adorable... and I'm not just saying that because I'm related to her!  I will be taking pictures of her next week, so today I just snapped a few of her nursery.

Today is Collin's 3rd birthday.  Happy Birthday little big man!  Aunt Judy loves you!!

Yesterday I went on a fieldtrip with the kindergartners.  It is such fun watching children experience something for the first time... like riding a school bus!

I just showed proofs to a friend, and she left very excited.  I can't explain how happy that makes me feel.  I know family pictures are very important, now and in the distant future, and I feel so privileged to be asked to be the one to take them.  I don't want to disappoint.  But, when you have children as beautiful as this, it's hard to go wrong!

Spring Break is over and it's back to work today.  I spent a lot of time editing pictures this week for two different photo shoots.  This is a shot from one of them.  This adorable little girl loved having her picture taken and knew just how to pose.  She was lots of fun and I hope I get the opportunity to take more pictures of her.

Happy Birth Day Natalie Marie.  Nicole and Nick became proud parents to a healthy baby girl early this morning. . . my first great niece.  I don't have a picture of the baby yet, so I thought I'd post one of her beautiful momma.

My project today is to design an album for Nicole with her maternity pictures.  Her due date was April 19, so any day now I should be getting a call telling me that she had her baby.  The album is going to be her baby present from me.  This is a sample page spread.

Making tiny cookies for the wedding today.  It's harder than I thought to make them small enough to fit into the favor box.  So sad that I have to eat all of the ones that are too big!!  :-)

I'm finishing up today on the proofs from my last family photo shoot.  This one makes me smile.  I love it when the children want to take the pictures.  Never mind that I let them use an antique camera that doesn't even work!

It's 11:30 a.m. right now and I've been editing pictures from two photo shoots since 4:00 a.m.  My shoulders are burning from sitting in front of the computer for so long, and all I can think about is what I should have for lunch! 

This picture made me laugh... it' the reaction I got from this family when I yelled "It's a wrap!"

Monkey Man!  Kimberly asked me to take a picture of Micah with his Sock Monkey for his birthday party invitation.  He was such a sweetie today... I wanted to take him home with me!

My parents share a very strong bond.  Today dad had surgery.  Things got a little teary for mom when it was time to wheel him away.
Thank you God for a successful surgery and hopefully a full recovery.

I love clematis, but I'm usually not too successful in getting them to flower.  So this morning when I saw a bloom I got excited and knew it would be my picture of the day!

The price of gas is killing us!  Since we live so close to Walmart and Raleys, we dusted off our bikes and put air in the tires and decided we should ride our bikes to shop whenever we can.  So this morning for breakfast ingredients we rode to Walmart.  It took a little less then seven minutes.

I can't believe I'm posting a picture of Walmart!  (Those are our bikes parked in front.)

Oops!  I'm behind a couple of days again.  I'm on Spring Break, so I should have time to catch up.

Yesterday we had another 'Giant' Birthday at work... and of course Nurse Laurie came through with her decorated cookies and cupcakes so we could have a 'Giant' celebration!

Today after work some friends and I went to Oakdale for dinner, then on to Knights Ferry for a short hike up river.  It was all great, but it couldn't top meeting 'Joey', the camel in Knights Ferry.  He was super friendly and loved getting up close to my camera.

I took one last maternity picture of Nicole this afternoon to finish out her measurement sequence pictures.  She looks so beautiful... and so ready to have a baby!

Yeah... I made 100 days!

I spent the day... the whole day... in Capitola and Aptos helping my good friend take senior pictures of a beautiful young lady.  Not only did I learn a lot, it was fun.  Tiring, but fun.  The last spot we photographed her was the beach in Aptos.  My camera had stayed in the car all day, but just before packing everything up and heading home, I quickly grabbed it for at least one shot for my 'picture of the day'.

I've been worrying for weeks about a photo shoot I had today of a large family.  It's a beautiful family, and I hope it went well.  (I still haven't uploaded the pictures.)  So after I got home (and a nap!), Dave and I drove to the Virginia Corridor to take a long exercise walk.  I grabbed my camera (why do I do that??).  This residential area is one of my favorites.  I love the old cottage style homes.

The mats are ready for us!  Today is the last bootcamp until the next session starts in two weeks.  I'm looking forward to the break.  Meeting every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:15 a.m. isn't always easy... especially when it's rainy, windy and freezing.  (All the classes are held outside.)

It's sunny and warm, and my garden pots are calling me.  Unfortunately it is Monday.  I hope the weather holds out and I can do some gardening this weekend.

We hiked at Henry Coe State Park today.  It was beautiful.  I love macro photography, but can't afford the lens I want right now.  So, I used my 'cheater' attachment filter on my 85mm.  This is the first time I've really played with it.

It was a crazy day at school today.  Maybe it had something to do with being April Fool's Day.  This group of girls found a good way to 'unwind' during their lunch recess.

So much of my life is 'routine'. . . like my breakfast for example.  Every work day morning I toast 1/2 of a whole wheat English muffin, spread it with peanut butter and pack it in my lunch bag to eat as soon as I get to work.  Add a piece of fruit... and I have my breakfast!
