I have a passion flower climbing on one fence. I love the flowers. After the bloom, the flower turns into this big fruit like bulb. I was curious about what was inside, so I cut a few open. ... I wonder if these are edible? I looked it up, and it just said the leaves and flowers are used as medicine, but it didn't say anything about the fruit. So I didn't try it.

After Oak Grove Park, we drove to Stouffer Park to check out the lighting for pictures there. It was a perfect summer evening, and these young people were taking advantage of it.

We were taking a walk through Oak Grove Park in Ripon yesterday in the late afternoon scoping out potential portrait sites. This young man was having a great time taking a bike jump. I only got two chances to take his picture. I would've liked more, because he was getting a lot higher than this picture shows.

I asked to babysit Micah. So I got him on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Whew! Good thing there wasn't anything I needed to do at home that day, because it wouldn't have gotten done. He pretty much kept me on my toes the entire time... except during nap time, but that's when I rested too!!

Dave usually does most of the grocery shopping. I know why he likes to go instead of me. I have a tendency to 'impulse' shop. Today I had to get a few items, and these sunflowers were just calling out my name! :-)))

Before leaving Tahoe, we took the Balancing Rock nature hike (a short walk actually). It was a beautiful morning which made it even harder to leave. This was the first time we camped in Tahoe... it won't be the last.

Shawna got her proofs back from the wedding. Aaron Draper Photography did a great job in not so great conditions. This is my favorite one of me. The umbrella says it all!!
And this is my favorite of me and Bryan.
Both photos by Aaron Draper.

I'm so far behind... my new goal is to just post 365 pictures by the end of the year. I think I've given up on posting one every day.
We went to Tahoe last weekend. After dinner one night we went down to the beach. The sunset was beautiful and it made the light magical. These two pictures were taken at the same time and standing in the same spot. I just turned my camera 180 degrees.

After the fair on Wednesday, we stopped at Micky Grove Park. They have a little zoo. Not much there, but Darlene and I had fun practicing using our flash. These birds grabbed my attention.

Oh... and this is Nicholas. The reason we went to the fair in the first place.
And a very proud mama watching her son.

I went to the San Joaquin County Fair yesterday to take pictures of a boy showing his sheep. He is the little boy Darlene tutors, and she was doing it as a favor to his mom. It was a hot, hot day, and there is no worse place to be on a hot day than a fair... in the middle of the day. Luckily, the sheep showing area was in the shade.
It was refreshing to see so many young people tending to their farm animals.

Yesterday when we went to the Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore, we took the back roads to and from. You never know what you'll discover on those back roads! We followed a sign and ended up discovering this little lake. It must be a hopping place in the summer because there was tons of parking and picnic tables, a snack bar and kayak rentals. Of course, only a brave few were there yesterday!

I know I said I would take a break from floral pictures, but I spent the morning at my favorite nursery with my camera around my neck, and well... here are a few more. I'm sure people thought I was crazy with my nose in the flowers to take pictures, but I had my funky macro filter on, and that's what I have to do to get a closeup. I really didn't care if they thought I was nuts... I was having fun!

I needed to do something today to brighten a cloudy Sunday. I know!! Lets head for Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore. It is the BEST nursery. I bought a new climbing rose, Joseph's Coat. I couldn't plant it when I got home because it started pouring rain!! Yes rain... again. Yes... it is June 5th!

What a rainy dreary day. Yes... on JUNE 4! Nothing to do. I could clean house, but that thought only lasted a millisecond. So, I took pictures of flowers instead. I know I need to start getting more original with my pictures. Maybe next week.
I don't have a clue what this plant is, but it has the sweetest blooms.

This is what happens when your address is used for wedding gift deliveries! Having a spare room is a thing of the past. At least it gives me a good excuse not to use my elliptical machine!!

The happy bride and groom. (Bryan never stopped smiling.)
When it started to rain I started to cry. Bryan took me by the shoulders and told me this was a beautiful day and a little rain wasn't going to ruin it. He was right. It was a beautiful day. I am so proud of both of them.
(Thank you Jennifer for taking this picture!)

So after months and months of planning and weeks and weeks of cleaning up and getting things ready... it is wedding day. And it rained. It could have been an emotional disaster for me, but when I saw everyone having fun despite the rain my spirits were lifted.
My great nephew was a ring bearer, and he played his part well... then went on to have a blast the rest of the evening. Collin... I love you!!
All of these pictures were taken by my niece, Jennifer. I wasn't allowed to have a camera that evening. :-)

Shawna wasn't the only one who found time to play! This little cutie is the daughter of the wedding organizer.

I've been really behind... like about 16 days worth! I will post 2 or three at a time to try to catch up. So I admit I've failed at this 365 day project, but now my goal is to just post 365 pictures.
We spent a few weekends in San Andreas helping to get the yard ready for a wedding. Shawna and her sister found time to have a little fun!
