Sorry... Another Katie Picture!

Maybe I should get a dog so I could take pictures of something different!  But, Katie is so photogenic... and she loves the camera!  Actually, I had my camera in hand for something completely different that didn't work out, and since Katie was right there... you get the picture!  (Did you catch that pun??)

Sunday we celebrated dad's birthday with lunch in Stockton.  He is 85 years young.  Happy Birthday Dad!

Back to School

Kevin's Spring Break is over and he left Saturday to go back to Chico.  The next time I see him will be at his graduation!

Moving Day

Bryan and Shawna officially have a new address!  I couldn't be happier for them, but I have to admit a tinge of sadness at not having them just around the corner anymore.  I'll miss Bryan just popping in on his way home after his Saturday football games... all sweaty, dirty and stinky... just to say 'hi'.

I wish them much happiness in their new home.

I went to the Beyer/Modesto High School swim meet after work yesterday to cheer for my friend Katie who swims for Beyer.  Her twin sister swims for Modesto High School.

More Marathon

And... they're off!

This is the true Marathon Man.  Actually he's an 'Ultra' Marathon Man... Besides marathons, he competes in 50 mile runs, 24 hour runs, and even 100 mile runs.  Sunday's marathon was a walk in the park for him.  He missed first place by 15 seconds.  He's Jon Olsen, a teacher at Prescott Junior High.  I work with his wife.

(Half) Marathon Man

Without much training, Bryan joined a group of other PSC employees and signed up for the Modesto Marathon.  Some of them, including Bryan, did the half marathon.

One of our teachers at Sonoma gave her students the option of using an exercise ball instead of a chair.

Clouds & More Clouds

The clouds were beautiful yesterday.  I keep a library of cloud pictures because I never know when I might need to insert clouds into a dull sky photograph.  So after work I drove to the end of Beckwith Road.  I knew there was an open area there (The Wildlife Refuge) where I could take pictures of the clouds without telephone poles and wires getting in the way. 

After taking these pictures, I turned around to go back to the car, and this little guy was close to my feet eating his dinner.  After snapping a few pictures of him, it was back home to have my own dinner!

Maybe another day.

I took this on my way to work early this morning.  Just looking at this sky made me cringe.  I knew I should be off somewhere taking beautiful landscape photographs today instead of sitting behind a desk with no windows.  But... I followed my head instead of my heart and drove to work.

It's always fun to revisit my older picture files.  These pictures were taken last September, and I just got a request for a book.  This will be one of the pages.

I had a special visitor this morning.  Miss Natalie and Nicole popped over for a short visit.  Perfect way to start my Sunday.

The wind yesterday plus the blossoms... not good!  But, I still love the trees this time of the year.

Pez to the Rescue!

When kids have had enough of taking pictures... bring out the Pez.  With the distraction and the sugar high, they are usually good for a few more shots! 

I got the estimate to repair my camera.  More than I wanted to pay, but about what I expected.  In the meantime Shawna let me borrow hers.  I decided to stalk my cats and get even for all the times they bug me!

I think I like pet photography.  Any takers??
