Maybe tonight?

I was introduced to something new last week... sushi.  Loved it!  There is a very good chance I am going again tonight.  I love days when I can look forward to dinner all day!

Final Performance

My red vintage couch has had it's final performance.  After being used for 'Premier Seating' at our school play, I found a new home for it because I have no way to haul it around.  The good news is, instead of selling it, I gave it to someone with the option of borrowing it if I need to... but, I was still sad to say goodby.

Elizabeth and Friends

Remember When?

I called a 3x customer to see if her daughter, Elizabeth, wanted a free shoot with a 'few' of her friends.  It would be good practice for me.  So here they come... SEVEN 14 year-old girls to photograph.  It was so much fun, and the girls were delightful.  It brought back a few memories.  Forty-four years ago this would have been me with Theresa, Peggy, Debbie, Lynn, Danna and Marty.  I wish I had a picture.

Very Bad Day.

Can I have a 'Do-Over' day?

• My camera crapped out... 
• My computer froze ten times
• Dave's printer isn't working
• My printer isn't working

I didn't know any of this until this morning.  Mr. Canon service guy said I needed to send my baby in for repairs.  It is so hard to let go!  I shed a few tears at the UPS store.  The girl there had to open my packaging and take pictures of her in case she gets 'lost' somewhere in transition.  She assured me she would bundle her up safe again.   She is now on her way to the Canon repair hospital.  I don't know what is wrong or when I will see her again.  

It's time for a glass of wine!

Siblings

I had so much fun with these two on Monday.  I got some great pictures, but I couldn't hold back from posting some with them acting like true siblings!

Ahhh... they do love each other!   So sweet....

Sunday's visit to San Francisco was to check out potential locations for an engagement shoot.  I can't take practice shots without a subject... hence a ton of pictures of Dave!

Legion of Honor

Jennifer helped me with a photo shoot in Knights Ferry on Saturday.  She was great.  Every time I went to grab my things to move to a new location... they were gone.  Jennifer already had it ALL and was moving to the next spot.  (hummm... I wonder if she could carry my red couch??)  She was also great with the kids and a lifesaver because she could load the Pez dispenser quickly!  Thank you Jennifer... and if you help me again I promise not to call you 'my mule' anymore!!

These were our adorable subjects.  This is a 'grab shot' I took when they scurried up a rock when we were changing locations (they were mini Billy Goats!)  

Room With a View

Renee', who lives in S.F. now, told me that Twin Peaks had a spectacular view.  So Sunday we checked it out and it did not disappoint.  But even though the weather in the City was beautiful, it was freezing on top of the Peak, and so windy I thought I might blow away! 

Thirty years ago today the doorbell rang and our prayers were answered. 

It was a good day.

Yesterday was a good day... Dave is home... breakfast in Jamestown... picked up a new lens I am testing... found a great vintage step ladder at an antique store (photo prop)... got 8 pieces of laminate flooring and a baseboard for a bargain price (for pictures)... and steak for dinner!

Lucy was the only subject around to try out the new lens!

Have you ever been tempted to pull a fire alarm when you walk by it??  Since we were due for a fire drill at school anyway, Char did it.  Next time it's my turn!

First Valentine's Day

I couldn't decide which Valentine's Day card I liked best, so you get all three!

Natalie has a very subtle way of letting me know when she's done taking pictures.

 But after a hug and a rose from mommy everything's all better.

Perfect Day

It was a beautiful, cloudy day in Monterey.

It can't be a perfect day without a perfect lunch!

Brush it off!

Something was said to me last night that really stung.  So needless to say my day wasn't good because I just can't brush things off.  The cure?  A visit after work with Nicole and Natalie.   Leslie was visiting Nicole, so that was an added bonus.  Things are now back into perspective.

I brought my camera (of course) to snap a few pictures.  This was the last thing I saw before I got in my car to drive away.
 

Great Dinner!

I had a special treat last night.  Jennifer came over to look at the Knights Ferry pictures and then made us fish tacos for dinner.  The night before Bryan and Shawna came over and made dinner.  I do miss Dave's fabulous cooking... but these last two nights kinda made up for it!

Playing Around

I've got several things I need to do this morning before work, but am I doing them?  Of course not.  I'm playing around with Saturday's Knights Ferry pictures. 

Didn't Happen

I was all set to go and anxious to see Jillian & Jace yesterday, but got a last minute call that it just wasn't Jace's day, and there was no way he'd ever cooperate for pictures.  I know how it goes, and certainly agreed that it was best to reschedule.  When I called Jennifer to say I wouldn't need her help, we decided to still take a ride to Knights Ferry.  It turned out to be really beneficial... we found some wonderful places there to take pictures that I hadn't thought of before. 

Couldn't Wait!

I told myself I wasn't going to take any jobs until spring, but I couldn't wait.  My trigger finger might start to get arthritis if I don't start using it pretty soon!  So I'm excited to get to see these cute kids again tomorrow.  It's been almost a year since I took these pictures.

Neverland

'Neverland' is painted on one of the doors in Bryan and Shawna's house, and this what you discover when you enter the room.  Yes... it is painted floor to ceiling... all four walls... with this art.  It's going to be Bryan's exercise room.  I think he might try to convince Shawna to leave the mermaids!
